Privacy, plainly stated.

How Ledgers Academy collects, uses, shares and retains personal data.

Controller and contact

Ledgers Academy is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. For privacy questions, withdrawal of newsletter consent, or requests concerning your data, email contact@ledgersacadamy.com. We do not sell personal data.

Contact form

When you use “Write to Me”, we process your name, email address, selected subject, message, submission time and the technical information needed to deliver the form. We use it to answer your request and take requested steps before a possible agreement. Our legal bases are legitimate interests in handling correspondence and, where relevant, steps at your request before entering a contract. Submissions are stored in Wordpuppi and sent as an email notification. We normally delete or anonymise them within 12 months after the last contact unless they must be retained longer for legal claims or accounting.

Reader reviews

When you submit a review on the reviews page, we process your rating, comment, optional display name, required email address and any social profile you choose to volunteer. The email address is used only for moderation and deletion requests and is never published. A social profile is optional, is used privately as an additional verification signal, and is not published. Approved reviews show your display name, rating and comment publicly and may carry a profile-checked badge. Reviews are moderated before publication; rejected reviews are deleted. Published reviews are kept until you ask us to remove them by emailing contact@ledgersacadamy.com. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form.

The Letter and attribution survey

When you subscribe, we process your email address and optional name to send The Letter. The legal basis is your consent. Wordpuppi stores the subscription in the Members list until you unsubscribe. After a successful subscription, you may optionally tell us how you found Ledgers Academy. We store the selected source, your subscriber email and any short “Other” detail in a separate Wordpuppi form submission so we can understand which educational channels are useful. We also send the selected category—but never your email or free-text detail—as a Google Analytics event subject to your analytics consent choice. The survey is voluntary and does not affect your subscription. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time by emailing contact@ledgersacadamy.com; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. We retain records needed to demonstrate consent and measure acquisition for as long as reasonably necessary.

Website delivery, language preference and security

Cloudflare and Wordpuppi may process IP address, device and browser information, requested URL, timestamps and security events to deliver and protect the website. This is based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable service. The language switcher saves the selected language in your browser and in a first-party preference cookie so the interface remains in that language as you move between pages. Provider security logs follow their respective retention schedules.

Academy School progress

Academy School stores completed chapters in local browser storage so your course progress remains available on the same device. The record contains chapter identifiers and an update time, not your name, email address, wallet address, quiz answers or financial information. It stays on your device and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser.

Advertising and consent

Content pages include Google AdSense code. The site integrates Google’s certified consent platform for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Its published message supplies applicable choices; advertising and analytics storage start denied. A legacy first-party cookie cannot grant consent. Depending on your choice, Google and its advertising partners may process identifiers, IP address, device information and activity to provide, protect, measure or personalise advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Privacy and cookie settings”. Read how Google uses data from partner sites and our cookie information.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics measures aggregate website use with measurement ID G-LR1P0VYGN1. The site uses a basic loading approach: it does not load the Analytics tag until Google’s consent platform reports analytics consent granted or not applicable. A denied, unknown or unconfigured analytics state keeps that tag unloaded. Once permitted, Analytics may process page views, referrers, approximate geography and device information, and may set _ga and _ga_LR1P0VYGN1 cookies with a configured maximum lifetime of up to two years. Reopening privacy settings immediately denies optional storage and disables Analytics measurement while you make a new choice.

Affiliate links

Selected editorial pages may contain clearly labelled affiliate placements. A referral identifier in the destination link can tell the merchant that a visit or purchase came from Ledgers Academy. The merchant receives the ordinary technical request data required to open its site and processes any later purchase under its own privacy information. Ledgers Academy does not receive your payment details or use affiliate links to make automated decisions about you.

Market data

The market tools request public data directly from CoinGecko. CoinGecko receives the technical request data needed to answer, such as IP address, requested endpoint and browser information. Ledgers Academy does not use those requests for profiling or store your market searches.

Service providers and international transfers

We use Wordpuppi for forms, members and site management; Cloudflare for hosting, delivery and security; Postmark as an email delivery provider; Google for consent management, Google Analytics and, after approval, advertising; CoinGecko for market data; and, for the market ticker in the site header, Alternative.me for the Fear and Greed Index and a public Ethereum RPC node operated by PublicNode for the current gas price. Those ticker requests are made by your browser, so those providers receive your IP address and browser details. They are not used for advertising or profiling, and the readings are cached locally for two minutes to keep the number of requests low. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, transfers rely on applicable adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other lawful safeguards. Each provider also publishes information about its own processing and retention.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw consent. Email contact@ledgersacadamy.com. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), at imy.se.

If privacy settings are unavailable

If Google’s message or consent API cannot load, the settings button reports that it is unavailable. The site does not convert that failure into permission: optional storage remains denied by default and Analytics stays unloaded. Content blockers or a message that has not yet been published can prevent the controls appearing. You may contact contact@ledgersacadamy.com about a privacy request without enabling ads. Google also provides My Ad Center for Google advertising preferences; it does not replace this site's consent choice.

Updates

This notice was last updated on 3 October 2026 to align the consent integration, Analytics loading and privacy-settings control. Material changes will be published here before new processing begins where required.
